Five Tips on Keeping Your Child’s Party Simple

With the fast-paced lifestyle, we all tend to lead these days, planning another birthday party can be somewhat daunting. We decided to put together a quick way to keep your child’s party simple and put the planning phase down to a minimum for you. This week’s blog reveals some quick tips on keeping it simple!

  1. Determine the Day, Place and Time.
  2. Pick the Food to be Served.
  3. Invite a specified number of guests
  4. Send Invitations Early
  5. Ask for Help

One of the biggest hurdles in party planning is determining where and when to throw the party or event. Once you’ve got a place established with a date and time the rest should be simple. If you’re overwhelmed with everyday tasks and schedules, then pick a place where you won’t have to worry about clean up and the aftermath of the celebration. This cuts back a lot on the hours and minutes you’ll have to spend.

Next, decide on the food to be served. Have someone cater the party or order pizza. The whole idea here is to prevent you from having to do additional work. By planning to hold your child’s birthday party or banquet at a location nearby and finding food to be delivered or catered, will make your life much simpler.

In addition to the food, keep in mind a head count is critical. Take a tally on how many guests will be at the party so you can plan accordingly. Don’t wait until the last minute to devise your list either, as people often need time to plan if they want to attend.

Send the invitations early. Whether you’re hosting the party at your home or an outside venue, be sure to send the invitations right away. Be sure to have them RSVP to gauge the attendance, and this will prevent you from over-ordering when it comes to the catering.

Lastly, to make life easier be sure to reach out and ask for help. If you’re swamped (as most of us are) asking for others to pitch in with the planning phase is a good idea. Many times, if you ask your friend, neighbor or about participate, they’ll most likely agree. Just remember to reciprocate the favor.

By taking these easy tips into consideration before your next big party, you’ll most likely feel a sense of relief. We understand the dilemma’s parents face today and are always here to help.

Nutritional Party Food Strategies for Beginners

Nutritional Party Food Strategies for Beginners – Tips from The Wow Factory, Broward County Indoor Fun Center

Attending a party or event typically means indulging in our favorite sweets and pastries. If you’re on the saltier side of things you’re probably looking forward to eating chips, pretzels, and anything with a little salt. Going to a party or hosting one doesn’t mean you need to stock up on Doritos, there is plenty of nutritional food that people and kids will look forward to that don’t have to add extra pounds or visits to your dental professional. Here are a few strategies that will help you look like a hero without being Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser.

Let us plan and host your next indoor birthday party at the Wow Factory. We are South Florida’s premiere indoor activity and fun center. Come and visit us!!

First select food that looks attractive. Strawberries paired with blueberries and cantaloupe is an excellent source of vitamins and antioxidants. Cantaloupe is a great source of protein at 4.6 g for every whole piece of melon.

Turkey bites are an excellent source of protein as well. Cut up turkey, ham into bite sized pieces and then use Swiss or cheddar cheese cut into cubes. Use a toothpick to secure them. You can serve them alone or with an olive or some cranberry sauce. This not only looks appetizing, it’s a great source of meat and cheese.

Instead of serving up a big ball of chips or Chex mix, why not serve banana chips, sweet potato chips or Snapea chips from Harvest Snaps? This company recently introduced their lentil chips, which are high in fiber, and protein.

Peanuts are a terrific source of protein and are a welcome addition to just about any setting. These are easy to tote around to the beach or an indoor park. Foods like almonds and almond butter are a rich source of protein and healthy fats.

Dark chocolate has been found to be one of the best antioxidant sources around. The other minerals in this delicious snack is good for being potassium, zinc and copper. Nice to know one of the most favored foods is angel of health.

If you’re in a hurry and need some quick party planning done, visit any grocery store and pick up a veggie and fruit tray. These are always big and if you want to add something that will leave you living strong add some hummus to the menu.

Bruschetta on thin sliced bread is another great way to pizzazz your guests with a scrumptious appetizer that looks spectacular. Keep in mind you’ll need to make these ahead of time or be somewhere a stove is available.

By taking a few extra minutes and scouring places like Pinterest, you can pick up some super great ideas that will lead you down the healthy zone but won’t make you look like a super nerd.
