If your family is like most of us, you’re always looking for fun and exciting ways to bring each other together without causing a big bore or hassle. The month of April is that time of year where there’s been enough of a break between holidays and school activity allowing for enjoyable family times once again. We think the month of April is also the best time to join us for a few games of knocking down pins and enjoying the company of family and friends.

Whether you’re looking to participate in a league or you just want to gather up a few people for some open bowling, this month is a terrific time to plan. Although it seems like spring time in Coconut Creek year around, this is pre-season to the super-hot weather, and lots of people tend to gather together for some fun. At the Wow Alley, you never must worry about working up too much of a sweat because of the air conditioner making this the perfect indoor sporting activity.

Another reason why bowling is a great activity is that you can promote things like team building skills with your co-workers or even some people in your neighborhood for some additional fun to break up the humdrum of the week. No matter what the case may be, plan your month with a chance to play a little to shake it up.

In addition to inviting your co-workers to join a league, your kids will have a great time with the laser lights and black lighting for our Cosmic Bowling parties. This is an excellent way to keep your teens out of trouble while learning new skills and getting some needed exercise. Be sure to bring student ids for discounted rates and don’t forget the times are Friday’s and Saturdays from 8-12 pm.

There are so many great reasons for making the month of April your time to come by and strap on a fresh pair of shoes. While yelling “Strike,” you’ll want to make Wow Alley a tradition for everyone. In fact, you’ll find this excellent game is still going a spare for those who thought it to be old and gone. Five Tips on Keeping Your Child’s Party Simple

With the fast-paced lifestyle, we all tend to lead these days, planning another birthday party can be somewhat daunting. We decided to put together a quick way to keep your child’s party simple and put the planning phase down to a minimum for you. This week’s blog reveals some quick tips on keeping it simple!

  1. Determine the Day, Place and Time.
  2. Pick the Food to be Served.
  3. Invite a specified number of guests
  4. Send Invitations Early
  5. Ask for Help

One of the biggest hurdles in party planning is determining where and when to throw the party or event. Once you’ve got a place established with a date and time the rest should be simple. If you’re overwhelmed with everyday tasks and schedules, then pick a place where you won’t have to worry about clean up and the aftermath of the celebration. This cuts back a lot on the hours and minutes you’ll have to spend.

Next, decide on the food to be served. Have someone cater the party or order pizza. The whole idea here is to prevent you from having to do additional work. By planning to hold your child’s birthday party or banquet at a location nearby and finding food to be delivered or catered, will make your life much simpler.

In addition to the food, keep in mind a head count is critical. Take a tally on how many guests will be at the party so you can plan accordingly. Don’t wait until the last minute to devise your list either, as people often need time to plan if they want to attend.

Send the invitations early. Whether you’re hosting the party at your home or an outside venue, be sure to send the invitations right away. Be sure to have them RSVP to gauge the attendance, and this will prevent you from over-ordering when it comes to the catering.

Lastly, to make life easier be sure to reach out and ask for help. If you’re swamped (as most of us are) asking for others to pitch in with the planning phase is a good idea. Many times, if you ask your friend, neighbor or about participate, they’ll most likely agree. Just remember to reciprocate the favor.

By taking these easy tips into consideration before your next big party, you’ll most likely feel a sense of relief. We understand the dilemma’s parents face today and are always here to help.

6 Ideas to Throw a Fun Bowling Party

Next time you want to throw your son or daughter a birthday party that they’ll never forget, take it to the bowling alley. Bowling parties can be a hit without having to spend much time and money on planning. We’ll take a look at a few cool food suggestions, games and decorating ideas for bowling parties:

Get the right supplies

First things first, figure out where you are going to get all the supplies you’ll need for your party. This includes items like cups, napkins and decorations for your party. You may also want to rent a bowling game, some small trophies for the kids and a bowling balloon.

Creative invitations

Make your invitations cool and creative to increase the party attendance. You can do your own personalized invitations. Simple things like adding a bowling sticker on the invitations or a fun message will excite your guests and make them look forward to the party.

Bowling party decorations

When choosing your decorations, one thing you have to consider is the location of your party. Generally, you won’t have lots of places to decorate at the bowling alley. But if you are doing the party at home then you’ve got unlimited opportunities to decorate.

Bowling t-shirts for your guests

One thing you can do to get the guests excited is to give them matching bowling t-shirts. They will feel like they are part of a team. Look for inexpensive bowling tees and add a bowling pin on each. You can even write the child’s name on the bowling pin. If you will be celebrating the part at a bowling alley, giving guests matching t-shirts will make it easy for you to spot them especially if the event is on a day when the alley is crowded.

Best food and snacks for bowling parties

If the party is in a bowling alley, you may be required to buy food at their concession stand. Some bowling alleys allow you to come with snacks during your event. You can narrow down your food choices to only healthy snacks such as grapes, slices of apples and wheat crackers. If you will be throwing the bowling party at home or in a private garden, then you have lots of options on what to serve. You can serve hotdogs, popcorns, French fries and so much more. One good idea would be to serve your guests drinks inside a bowling pin sipper cup.

Choosing party favors

You obviously want to send your guests home with some cool favors that complement the theme of the party. There are so many bowling party favors that you can find online at a good price. A few ideas include: bowling pin sipper cups, candy and lollipops with cool shapes, trophies for the winning team and mini bowling games.

Start planning the bowling party early enough so that you don’t miss out on any aspect we’ve mentioned above. Remember that you don’t have to spend a lot on making this party work for you. Handmade decorations and homemade food can really help you to cut down on costs.

Teach Your Children to Give During the Holidays

With the way, today’s big world is operating many of our children seem to be getting the wrong impressions on what the holiday season should offer. It seems almost every year the kids are more focused on gifts and playtime and not enough learn the real ideology of the season. In this blog, we point out a few tips that will help your boys and girls remember to help make the world a better place.

Thanksgiving and Family Dinners are always a superb time to discuss how much you appreciate each other. After all, our young ones learn starts at home. Why not teach them to show their gratitude toward people in your family by letting everyone comment on who and why they are thankful? You can start a gratitude jar and decorate it for the holidays and then have each family member pull one of the remarks and read during the dinner. Announcing why we’re gracious is not only fun, it’s 100% heartwarming.

Next up, “Random Acts of Kindness.” It seems we all have a little too much on our plate today to take our mind off and place our energies elsewhere. Remember the old folks that live next door or a charity that has a worthy cause. Get your children involved in philanthropy and doing kind things for others without making a big deal of it. Perhaps they can volunteer to help take out the garbage for the senior woman living alone or bring them to charitable events for kids less fortunate to help open their eyes to helping others.

Hold a food or toy drive within your neighborhood. Anyone can do this activity. When you get, your kids involved, it becomes a unique event. Help them promote giving to other children their age by collecting food or toys, and they bring to a drop off center. Food drives are something you can do any time of year. These are events you can do anytime. The whole idea is to help you son or daughter be open to looking out for the needs of others. We call it humanity, and it makes a huge difference when more of us can be pro-active in the community.

Give your kids the ideas to do nice things for others, and you’ll be teaching them some value and morals important to their success on becoming great citizens.

Gift Guide for Kids Parties in 24 Hours

HURRY HURRY HURRY!!! Tips from the Wow Factory Indoor Fun Center in South Florida  – Fort Lauderdale area

It’s 8:30 on a Saturday morning, the children are just getting up while you’re putting the coffee on when one of your kids says “Mom, what are we going to give to so and so for his/her birthday today?”

Suddenly a hot flash sweeps through your entire body as you just remember that today you have to take your kids to someone’s party that you don’t really know. What’s worse you don’t want to look like a schmuck parent that doesn’t have an ounce of creativity. So you muster up your kids and jump into the car. On the ride to the local toy store you ask your children what their thoughts are on gift giving to the friend. Asking the kids may get you a few different answers like “I don’t know” or “He doesn’t have

Xbox, let’s get him that” and then there is “She doesn’t even like me, I don’t know why she asked me to come to the party.” So what do you do when they aren’t help and you have less than 24 hours to buy something that will make the kids head spin? Here is a guide for you to look like a totally “With It” mom and won’t make your children appear as a couple of dweebs.

Boys 5 and older will be looking for anything from “Star Wars”. The Darth Vadar Light Saber is a sure win if the child doesn’t already have one. But you can never have enough light sabers. You can easily find these at any store including Walmart and many are under $20.

Girls 5 and older are hitting the shopping cart with the Shopkins Shoppies figures. These cute little dolls are on a mission to shot til they drop. They’ve got several shops that are a part of the collection like the Donatina’s Donut Shop and the Shoe Dazzle two stores which any young girl would like. Under $17 for many of their collectables.

Boys 7 and older would enjoy The Mind Jewel Brain Teaser or Squish Football. Boys love to be hands on at this age and are also a ball of energy. Give them something that will last and helps them either learn or use a motor skill. Both of these gifts retail for less than $15 bucks!

Girls 7 and older enjoy being crafty and this year beading is taking a front seat. Fusion Beads, or a Giant bead box is under $20 and they will have hours of fun making bracelets and other artistic jewelry. Don’t forget you can find these everywhere including places like Walmart and Walgreens!

Boys 9 and up are starting to become more advanced. If the child is into puzzles, then Turbo Mind Twister might be a good choice. This toy retails at $19 which is inexpensive when you consider the older the child the higher the cost of the toy.

With anyone of these items being a quick fix and popping in and out of a toy store, you’ll be able to be a hero mom and not a zero mom or dad whatever the case may be. In any case we wish you the best and hope this guide was helpful.
